In 2018, after lessons from early drone tech (some with unexpected rapid disassembly), Matthew Power founded Insight UAS to deliver cutting-edge aerial mapping and inspection for mining, government, and private clients.

A master at matching the right tool to the task, he embraced DJI platforms early and invested in high-powered computing to ensure rapid, accurate project delivery. As a certified UAV Operator and Mine & Engineering Surveyor, Matthew’s expertise spans large-scale mining surveys, environmental monitoring, asset inspections, infrastructure modeling, and training teams in drone technology.

In 2024, he joined forces with his peer and colleague Brett to create Element Geospatial, combining expertise to push the boundaries of surveying and spatial technology.
